About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced automotive technician to perform a full range of automotive repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. Work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work. The role also involves diagnosing and repairing advanced electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles, and repairing wheel bearings, axles, and vehicle climate-control systems such as air conditioning and heater cores. Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to use safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on vehicles of all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including issues involving electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate-control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
