About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Automotive Painter to prepare vehicles for customers at its high-tech Inspection Center in Belton, Missouri. The role requires at least five years of professional automotive painting experience and advanced skills with base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correcting vehicles. The position offers a $8,000 bonus, competitive wage, and access to state-of-the-art tools. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime opportunities. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana reconditions, inspects, perfects, and photographs vehicles before they are listed for customers. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least five years of professional automotive painting experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Paint vehicles using base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats.
Blend adjacent panels.
Paint correct vehicles.
Work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and support delivery commitments, including working mandatory overtime based on business needs.
Use safety equipment and protective garments as needed.
