About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Auto Painter for its vehicle reconditioning operations in Tracy, California. The role involves painting vehicles using base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correcting vehicles. Painters work with state-of-the-art tools in a high-tech Inspection Center. The position pays $31–$39 per hour and includes an $8,000 bonus. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Applicants must have at least five years of professional automotive painting experience. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Must pass a complete background check.
