About The Position

Carvana is seeking an experienced automotive technician with at least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience. The technician performs diagnostics and a full range of repairs on vehicles, from light maintenance to complex mechanical and engine work, across all makes and models. The role includes work on electric and hybrid vehicles and takes place in a high-tech vehicle Inspection Center using state-of-the-art tools. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and complex repairs on vehicles of all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
• Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Repair wheel bearings and axles.
• Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
• Work in a fast-paced production environment to help prepare vehicles for customers.
