About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced automotive painter to prepare vehicles for customers at one of its high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers. The role requires strong skills in applying base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correcting vehicles. The position is scheduled for second shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with possible weekday overtime. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Employees use tools and safety equipment such as face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective garments. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and pass a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Passing a complete background check is a condition of hiring.
