Entry-Level Automotive Detailer / Lot Attendant Post Production
About The Position
Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive positions at its Inspection Center in San Antonio, Texas. Available roles include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Detailers wash vehicles, clean interiors, and buff exteriors. Lot Attendants move vehicles between departments in the Inspection Center. Photobooth Associates photograph vehicles for online listings, while Inspection Associates inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and identify imperfections or defects. The starting pay is $15–$16 per hour. The location offers a first shift Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.–3 p.m., and a second shift Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m.–3 a.m. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The role is based at 11245 Old Corpus Christi Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78223. Carvana provides training programs for entry-level employees and uses tools in its high-tech Inspection Centers. Applicants must pass a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- Must be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold.
- Must use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
Responsibilities
- Detail vehicles, including washing, interior cleaning, and exterior buffing.
- Move vehicles from one department to another within the Inspection Center.
- Photograph vehicles for customer listings.
- Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects.
- Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
