Entry-Level Automotive Detailer / Lot Attendant Post Production
About The Position
Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its Inspection Center in Chesterfield, Virginia. Available positions include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Detailers wash vehicles, clean interiors, and buff exteriors. Lot Attendants move vehicles between departments in the Inspection Center. Photobooth Associates photograph vehicles for customer listings. Inspection Associates examine vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections and defects. The role is based at 15100 Wood Edge Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23834. Starting pay is $18.00–$19.00 per hour. Two shifts are offered: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., or Monday–Thursday, 3:30 p.m.–2:30 a.m. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana provides training programs for entry-level employees to support skills and pay progression. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes while exposed to heat or cold.
- Must use safety equipment that may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Must pass a complete background check.
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Detail vehicles, including washing, interior cleaning, and exterior buffing (Detailer).
- Move vehicles from one department to another in the Inspection Center (Lot Attendant).
- Photograph vehicles for customer listings (Photobooth Associate).
- Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections and defects (Inspection Associate).
- Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
