About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring an Automotive Cashier at Oak Lawn Honda. The cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions, calculating bills, processing payments, and supporting a positive customer experience. The role is in a growing, fast-paced automotive dealership environment. The company is affiliated with more than 25 vehicle brands and over 50 dealerships across seven states, with more than 3,500 employees nationwide.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Cashier experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional appearance.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law and regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years old to comply with the company driving policy.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive dealership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Calculate customer bills using the dealership’s computer system.
• Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers.
• Make change accurately and issue receipts.
• Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets, repair orders, and sales deposits, and verify them against cash, checks, and credit card payments on hand at the end of the shift.
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer customers to the appropriate person for resolution.
• Work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
