About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Upholstery Repair Technician/Glass Repair Technician for its Hutchins, Texas location. The role focuses on automotive interior and glass repair in a high-tech vehicle inspection center. Technicians repair upholstery and interior components, match or dye fabric colors, and repair various types of damage to vehicle windows and windshields. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level hires, though this role requires at least three years of professional automotive interior repair and/or glass repair experience.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive interior repair and/or glass repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and independently lift up to 60 pounds.
At least 18 years of age and possession of a valid driver’s license; some positions may require an MVR check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to use safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Successful completion of a background check.
Must not require visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Repair damaged cloth/fabric, leather, plastic, vinyl, and other upholstery.
Repair center consoles, seats, dashboards, headliners, plastic components, and stitching.
Color match and dye cloth and fabric.
Repair stars, bullseyes, combination breaks, cracks, and scratches in windows and windshields.
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
