About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Body Technician to perform extensive bodywork on multiple vehicle panels at its high-tech Inspection Center in Hutchins, Texas. The technician will also train other autobody technicians. Work includes heavy plastic welding and stapling; heavy metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding; roof and rocker panel repair; and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. The role is on the second shift. The position may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. Technicians work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold. The role requires the use of safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to use required safety equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
