About The Position

Carvana is seeking an Auto Body Repair Technician, described as an Autobody Prepper, to perform bodywork on multiple vehicle panels at a vehicle reconditioning center. The work includes heavy plastic welding, minor metal pulling, roof and rocker panel repair, and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. The role is based in Hutchins, Texas, and is listed for the second shift. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is advertised.

Technicians work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may be exposed to heat or cold. They use tools and safety equipment to prepare vehicles for customers. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees to support skill and pay progression.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license; some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
