About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Repair Technician in Hutchins, Texas, for second shift. The role performs light bodywork to prepare vehicles for customers, including prepping, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. Technicians work with state-of-the-art tools in a high-tech vehicle Inspection Center. Training programs are available for entry-level employees to support skill and pay progression.

The position is part of Carvana’s vehicle reconditioning operations, where cars are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed on the company’s website. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may be exposed to excessive heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prep, sand, and buff vehicles.
• Remove and install bumpers.
• Perform minor plastic welding.
• Perform small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair.
• Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
