About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Repair Technician, described in the posting as an autobody prepper, to perform light bodywork on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. Work includes preparing, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. Entry-level employees may receive training to help their skills and pay progress. The role is part of Carvana’s vehicle reconditioning operation, where vehicles are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed on the company’s website. Applicants must be able to work mandatory overtime when business needs require it and meet the stated age, driver’s license, physical, safety, language, and background-check conditions.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age and possession of a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
