About The Position

Carvana is seeking a mid-level Auto Interior Repair/Glass Repair Technician with at least 3 years of professional automotive interior repair and/or glass repair experience. The role involves repairing vehicle upholstery and interior components, color matching and dyeing fabric, and repairing window and windshield damage. Technicians work in a high-tech vehicle Inspection Center and production environment. Carvana describes itself as a rapidly growing used automotive retailer with vehicle Reconditioning Centers where cars are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed online.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive interior repair and/or glass repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Ability to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
Use safety equipment that may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.

Responsibilities

Repair damaged cloth or fabric, leather, plastic, vinyl, and other upholstery.
Repair center consoles, seats, dashboards, headliners, plastic components, and stitching.
Color-match and dye cloth and fabric.
Repair stars, bullseyes, combination breaks, cracks, and scratches in windows and windshields.
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
Operate vehicle equipment and tools while following safety requirements.
