Mid-Level Auto Interior Repair/Glass Repair Technician - $2,000 Bonus
About The Position
Carvana is hiring a Mid-Level Auto Interior Repair/Glass Repair Technician to repair vehicle interiors and glass at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The work includes repairing cloth, fabric, leather, plastic, vinyl, upholstery, center consoles, seats, dashboards, headliners, and stitching; color matching and dyeing cloth and fabric; and repairing stars, bullseyes, combination breaks, cracks, and scratches in windows and windshields. Carvana describes itself as a fast-growing used automotive retailer and operates vehicle Reconditioning Centers where cars are inspected, repaired, and photographed before being listed on its website. The position offers a competitive wage, a $2,000 bonus, and company perks. Employees may be required to work mandatory overtime based on business needs to help meet customer delivery commitments. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to hot or cold weather and use of protective safety equipment. Applicants must pass a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional automotive interior repair and/or glass repair experience.
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must pass a complete background check.
Responsibilities
- Repair damaged cloth, fabric, leather, plastic, vinyl, and other upholstery.
- Repair center consoles, seats, dashboards, headliners, plastic components, and stitching.
- Color match and dye cloth and fabric.
- Repair stars, bullseyes, combination breaks, cracks, and scratches in windows and windshields.
- Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
