About The Position

As a Field Auto Damage Trainee, you will help customers after accidents by inspecting and assessing vehicle damage, estimating repair costs, negotiating equitable settlements, and working with body shops, rental companies, and parts providers. The role includes consulting with involved parties, reviewing insurance contracts, inspecting vehicles, writing estimates, managing rental cars, and resolving customer concerns. The position is not remote and requires work in the Evansville, Indiana territory, with an assigned GEICO fleet vehicle.

GEICO provides an industry-leading paid trainee program, including three weeks of required hands-on training at its Ashburn, Virginia facility and two weeks at a field training center in New York, Texas, or California, with mentor support. Licensing and continuing education are provided at no cost. The role requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license that meets company underwriting guidelines required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, and empathy skills.
• Adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and multitask across platforms.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Customer-facing experience preferred.
• Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs and measurable goals preferred.
• Active adjusters license preferred; training and exam fees are provided.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities
