Auto Damage Trainee (Field)
About The Position
As a Field Auto Damage Trainee at GEICO, you will support customers after accidents by inspecting and assessing vehicle damage, estimating repair costs, negotiating equitable settlements, and working with body shops, rental companies, and parts providers. You will consult with involved parties, review insurance contracts, inspect vehicles, write estimates, manage rental cars, and resolve customer concerns to help create a positive customer experience. The role is not remote. The assigned field territory is the Sanford/Benson, North Carolina area, and a GEICO fleet vehicle is provided. Training includes three weeks of required hands-on experience at GEICO’s Ashburn, Virginia training facility and two weeks at a field training center in New York, Texas, or California. Licensing and continuing education are provided at no cost.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license that meets company underwriting guidelines.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, and empathy skills.
- Ability to adapt, pay attention to detail, prioritize, and multitask across platforms.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Customer-facing experience preferred.
- Experience in high-volume call centers with key performance indicators and measurable goals preferred.
- Active adjuster’s license preferred; training and exam fees are provided.
- College degree preferred.
