About The Position

Requirements

• 3–5 years of auto casualty claims experience is required.
• At least 5 years of Auto Bodily Injury Casualty experience is required to be considered for hybrid or remote work.
• Knowledge of legal and medical terminology.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claims adjuster.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

• Non-standard auto claims experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review each assigned file and determine an appropriate course of action, using technical knowledge and experience to support final disposition of the loss.
• Conduct thorough investigations and maintain accurate, relevant documentation of claim activity, including coverage, liability status, and applicable damages.
• Process bodily injury and coverage claims in accordance with established office procedures.
• Work with third parties, plaintiff counsel, the Claim Director, and the Chief Operating Officer to determine necessary injury and coverage investigations.
• Research case and statutory law to conduct proper claim investigations.
• Document policy status, coverage, liability, and damages on all claims, and notify the reinsurer on qualifying claims.
• Prepare and present claim evaluations for the appropriate settlement authority.
• Maintain reasonable expense factors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
