About The Position

Carvana is seeking an entry-level Auto Body Repair Technician (Autobody Prepper) to perform light bodywork on vehicles at a high-tech Inspection Center. Duties include prepping, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. Entry-level employees may receive training intended to help their skills and pay progress. The role uses state-of-the-art tools and supports Carvana’s vehicle reconditioning process, preparing vehicles for customers. The schedule is Monday through Thursday on second shift. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to excessive heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and independently lift up to 60 pounds.
At least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may require an Motor Vehicle Records check.
Able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
