About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Prep Technician to prepare vehicles for paint at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The work includes sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and tear down, and buffing. This is described as an entry-level role, with training programs intended to help employees’ skills and pay progress. Candidates must have at least six months of professional automotive prepping experience. The position involves working in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may sometimes involve exposure to excessive heat or cold. Employees must be able to operate vehicle equipment and tools, lift up to 60 pounds independently, and use required safety equipment. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Employment is contingent on passing a background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least six months of professional automotive prepping experience.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
Must be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
