About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Prep Tech to perform light bodywork on vehicles at a high-tech Inspection Center. The work includes preparing, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. Entry-level employees may receive training programs to help their skills and pay progress. The role requires a minimum of one year of professional automotive bodywork experience.

This position is on the second shift. Employees must be able to work mandatory overtime when business needs require it. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to hot or cold weather conditions. Use of safety equipment such as a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments may be required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
