About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Prep Tech to perform light bodywork on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. Work includes preparing, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. The posting identifies this role as requiring at least one year of professional automotive bodywork experience. Training programs are available for entry-level employees so their skills and pay can progress with the company. The role is part of Carvana’s vehicle reconditioning process, in which vehicles are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed on the Carvana website. The position is listed as second shift. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
Able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
Must not require visa sponsorship for this role.
