About The Position

Carvana is hiring an entry-level Auto Body Refinish Tech to prepare vehicles for paint at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The work includes sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and teardown, and buffing. Entry-level employees are offered training programs intended to help their skills and pay progress. The role requires at least six months of professional automotive prepping experience and may involve mandatory overtime based on business needs. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least six months of professional automotive prepping experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, masking, taping, and bagging.
• Unbag and tear down vehicles as part of paint preparation.
• Buff vehicles.
