About The Position

Carvana is seeking an Auto Body Repair Technician (Autobody Prepper) to perform light bodywork on vehicles at a high-tech Inspection Center. Work includes prepping, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. The role is part of Carvana’s vehicle reconditioning process, preparing inspected vehicles for customers. Entry-level training programs are available to help employees develop their skills and progress in pay.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license; some positions may require a motor vehicle records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prep, sand, and buff vehicles.

• Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
