About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Repair Technician (Autobody Prepper) to perform light bodywork on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. Tasks include prepping, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. Training programs are available for entry-level employees to help their skills and pay progress. The role may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. Applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience for the advertised role.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities
