Auto Body Repair Technician
About The Position
Carvana is hiring Auto Body Repair Technicians with at least one year of professional automotive bodywork experience to work in its high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers. The role involves light bodywork to prepare vehicles for customers, including prepping, sanding, and buffing; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees so their skills and pay can progress with the company. The position may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Requirements
- At least one year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- At least 18 years of age and possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
- Ability to use safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Successful completion of a background check is required for hiring.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, sand, and buff vehicles.
- Remove and install bumpers.
