About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Paint Prepper to prepare vehicles for painting at one of its high-tech vehicle Inspection Centers. The role involves priming vehicles and performing final sanding before painting, as well as buffing, touch-up work, paint mixing, and airbrushing. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees to support the development of their skills and pay.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional automotive painting experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to heat or cold.
• Ability to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Prime vehicles and perform final sanding before painting.
• Perform buffing and touch-up work.
• Mix paint and perform airbrushing.
• Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
