About The Position
The Autism Aide supports students with diverse learning and behavioral needs in school-based settings. The role uses play, games, and evidence-based strategies to help children develop communication, social, and life skills. The aide brings energy and compassion to sessions that may take place at a child’s home, a center, or in the community, follows personalized plans designed by clinical leaders, and celebrates progress and milestones. The position is flexible and on-the-go, with paid training and coaching; prior experience is not required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Availability Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccinations.
- Reliable transportation.
- Comfort working with diverse populations.
- Willingness to complete training and documentation.
- Ability to frequently sit and stand and keep pace with the client.
- Enjoy working with children and making a difference.
- Patience, dependability, and compassion.
- Clear communication and ability to work well as part of a team.
