About The Position

Workforce Solutions partners with small to mid-sized CPA firms across the United States to connect them with public accounting talent. The Audit/Assurance Manager role involves managing client relationships and leading audit and assurance engagements, including auditing financial records for compliance with generally accepted accounting rules and standards. The manager analyzes client records to identify potential accounting issues, researches and presents proposed solutions, trains and manages team members, and supports clients with financial or tax needs. The role requires managing multiple priorities and building and strengthening client relationships while developing knowledge of clients’ businesses.

Requirements

• At least 6 years in a similar role within a public accounting firm.
• Experience supervising Associate/Senior Associate staff.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• CPA certification or ability to attain CPA certification.
• Experience in governmental and insurance audits.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client financial records to identify potential accounting issues and research and present proposed solutions.
• Train, mentor, and manage team members in audit processes.
• Build new and strengthen existing client relationships while demonstrating basic knowledge of clients’ businesses.
• Communicate and meet with clients as requested and provide recommendations to assist with financial or tax needs.
• Lead and manage audit and assurance engagements.
• Manage multiple priorities at the same time.
