About The Position

Provides a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Cleans, disinfects, and maintains surgery areas. Provides courteous and safe transport of patients and/or supplies throughout the facility. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment.
• At least 6 months of hospital or customer service experience.
• Knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Training as needed to perform duties.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire date.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or higher.
• BLS certification.
• 1 year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment and 6 months of hospital or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the environment of care.
• Transports patients, equipment, and/or supplies throughout the hospital to ensure items are available when needed for patient care.
• Develops and maintains technical skills.
• Inspects equipment before use to ensure it is in proper working order.
• Documents all patient transports on the appropriate chart or log.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
