About The Position

Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) is hiring per diem Attendant Care Employees in Pembroke, New Hampshire. The role provides compassionate in-home and community support to consumers, helping them maintain independence. Schedules are set by consumers and range from 6 to 10 hours per week.

Duties include assisting with activities of daily living, household tasks, exercises and mobility, medication reminders, and errands. Training on mechanical lifting devices is provided if necessary. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be able to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more, have adequate car insurance if applicable, and pass a criminal background check. An LNA license and high school diploma are not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and eating.
• Provide in-home care.
• Assist with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
• Perform laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, and organization.
• Assist consumers with ambulation and transfers.
• Use mechanical lifting devices; training is provided if necessary.
• Remind consumers when it is time to take their medication.
• Support consumers in the community, including running errands.
