About The Position

Granite State Independent Living is hiring per diem Attendant Care Employees in Berlin, New Hampshire. The role provides compassionate, in-home and community-based support to consumers, helping them maintain independence. Schedules are flexible and set by consumers, with approximately five hours of work per week. LNA licensure and a high school diploma are not required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, pass a criminal background check, and be able to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more. Adequate car insurance is required if applicable. Training on mechanical lifting devices will be provided if necessary. The position pays $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and eating.
• Provide in-home care.
• Assist with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
• Perform laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, and organization tasks.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers.
• Use mechanical lifting devices; training is provided if necessary.
• Remind consumers when it is time to take their medication.
• Support consumers in the community, including running errands.
