About The Position

Granite State Independent Living is hiring per diem Attendant Care Employees in Dover, New Hampshire. The role provides compassionate, in-home and community-based support to consumers, helping them maintain independence. Schedules are set by consumers and range from 20 to 30 hours per week. The position pays $18.00 per hour. An LNA license and high school diploma are not required. Applicants must pass a criminal background check.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more.
• Must have adequate car insurance, if applicable.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and eating.
• Provide in-home care.
• Assist with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
• Perform laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, and organization.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers.
• Use mechanical lifting devices; training is provided if necessary.
• Remind consumers when it is time to take their medication.
• Support consumers in the community, including running errands.
