About The Position
Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) is hiring per diem Attendant Care Employees in Bristol, New Hampshire. The role provides compassionate in-home and community support to consumers, promoting their independence. The position starts at six hours per week, with scheduling determined by the consumer. Additional hours may become available as consumer needs evolve or by working with other consumers; additional hours are optional. The hourly rate is $18.00. An LNA license and high school diploma are not required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and pass a criminal background check.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more.
- Must have adequate car insurance, if applicable.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and eating.
- Provide in-home care.
- Assist with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
- Perform laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, and organization.
- Assist consumers with ambulation and transfers.
- Use mechanical lifting devices; training will be provided if necessary.
- Remind consumers when it is time to take their medication.
- Provide community support, including running errands.
