The Athletic Facilities and Event Management Intern will gain hands-on experience managing NCAA Division II athletic facilities. The role involves facility management, game-day management, and the day-to-day operations of the athletic department. Duties include serving as a game manager for the University’s 22 athletic programs; helping coordinate and produce internal and external special events; supporting athletic game-day setups, transitions, and breakdowns; and supervising and training student support staff. The intern will also schedule student staff, maintain payment records, communicate event needs, perform indoor and outdoor facility upkeep and maintenance, and operate scorekeeping and audiovisual equipment as well as limited heavy machinery. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Applicants are asked to apply through the Embry-Riddle Career Site using requisition number R312339 and to submit a cover letter, resume, and contact information for at least three professional references. Current Embry-Riddle employees should apply through the ERAU Employee Hub Central application in Workday. Embry-Riddle states that it is committed to equal opportunity and prohibits discrimination and harassment. Candidates are expected to participate in interviews and assessments without AI-assisted coaching, real-time response generation, or recording; the University says it does not use AI to automatically screen, rank, or select candidates.
