At Your Service Center Associate, Bellingham Bellis Fair - FLEX
About The Position
The At Your Service Center Colleague provides a great customer experience during At Your Service activities, including Buy Online Pickup in Store transactions, processing returns, handling non-congruent items, and completing other assigned duties in accordance with company procedures and standards. The role assists customers throughout the store and supports fulfillment, including monitoring orders, retrieving pickup orders from back-of-house storage, and delivering orders curbside. Associates use point-of-sale technology and other systems to complete transactions, maintain an organized pickup area, support sales, and follow audit, asset protection, inventory control, compliance, and shortage-prevention procedures. The position calls for flexible team players who can manage multiple tasks and work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. No education or experience is required.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Ability to use electronic devices.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to a team.
- No education or experience required.
Responsibilities
- Greet and connect with customers in a friendly, genuine way and help make their experience positive.
- Recommend products by identifying customer needs and suggesting relevant products and options.
- Offer options and solutions to help customers complete purchases.
- Close out customers’ shopping experiences and celebrate their purchases.
- Assist customers throughout the store, including those using devices to shop and compare products.
- Support total-store fulfillment, including Buy Online Pickup in Store transactions, and keep the collection area organized.
- Monitor alerts to ensure Buy Online Pickup in Store orders are ready on time; retrieve orders from back-of-house storage and deliver them curbside.
- Demonstrate knowledge of store products and services to drive sales and minimize returns.
- Sell gift cards and help resolve customers’ Macy’s card issues as needed.
- Follow store audit policies and procedures.
- Follow asset protection, inventory control, compliance, and shortage-prevention procedures.
- Foster acceptance and respect and build authentic relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.
