About the position
We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer(Support) for Bloomreach's Search and Merchandising product. The role involves monitoring and handling customer/partner issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing trends and patterns, and driving issue resolution. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science, relevant experience in technical support positions, knowledge of SQL, Oracle, RESTful Web Services API, and Java, as well as strong customer focus and communication skills. Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring and handling incoming customer/partner issues within SLA
- Engaging with cross-functional teams like operations and engineering to invent and simplify tools and processes for quicker issue resolution
- Possesses strong business acumen and a "customer first" attitude by recognizing customer-specific needs and making recommendations
- Analyze trends and patterns in case and customer feedback to address customer pain points proactively
- Collaborates with engineering and product teams to drive issue resolution
- Communicate complex technical issues via email and through tickets with ease
- Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems / Computer Science / B-Tech / MCA
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in advanced technical support positions (Web based products or e-commerce preferred)
- Knowledge of SQL & Oracle
- Knowledge of RESTful Web Services API and regex
- Knowledge of Java / Common Java libraries
- Experience with Web services / Web technologies
- Strong customer focus and ability to understand and communicate complex technical systems
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Humble, open-minded, eager to grow with others, and focus on "we" instead of "I"
- Passion for craft and keen interest in understanding how things work
