About the position
We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Finance intern to join our Sales Compensation team. This role is ideal for ambitious individuals looking to build a career in Finance or Sales Operations. As part of the Go-To-Market strategy, you will work with various teams and be responsible for preparing financial reports focused on sales performance and analyzing data that impacts our strategy. The successful candidate will have strong multitasking and organizational abilities, as well as knowledge of data processing and analysis techniques. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working with software such as Salesforce and CaptivateIQ, and provide administrative support to our FP&A and Sales Ops teams.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the sales commission automation software database (manual data validation and data entry/corrections)
- Collaborating with the Sales Operations, Finance, HR, Sales and Marketing personnel to identify and resolve issues
- Helping identify Sales Performance and payouts trends and key opportunities to improve sales performance
- Learning to work with various types of software for Sales Operations and Finance (Salesforce, CaptivateIQ, Charthop, BambooHR)
- Providing administrative support to FP&A, Sales Ops by preparing data for quarterly Board of Directors meetings, and monthly or quarterly reports
Requirements
- Preferably a University student (3rd year +) and able to work approximately 20 hours/week
- Driven and motivated to learn more about a career in Finance or Sales Operations
- Effective organizational abilities and able to handle various data sets and technologies
- Understanding of basic technologies such as Google Sheets, Google Slides, Excel, and other digital products is a plus
- Great multitasking skills to handle daily administrative tasks
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- High level of attention to detail
