About The Position

The full-time Associate Selling Team Leader (Associate Manager) serves as the Store Team Leader’s key partner in developing and implementing business strategy and leading daily store operations. This leader trains and coaches associates to become high-performing sellers who deliver an excellent guest experience, achieve sales goals, uphold merchandising standards, and support operational excellence. The role represents AEO’s values and emphasizes authentic leadership.

Requirements

Previous experience leading teams in a retail management role.
Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
Strong priority-setting and time-management skills.
Ability to lead and develop teams.
General understanding of employment law.

Flexible availability to work when guests shop.

Responsibilities

Drive sales as a Leader on Duty by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a strong guest experience.
Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and contribute to the store’s financial success.
Partner with the Store Team Leader on short- and long-term business plans to drive key KPIs.
Motivate and inspire the team through AEO’s core values, model effective leadership, and hold associates accountable to customer service standards.
Recruit and hire talent to ensure the store is staffed for business needs.
Train and develop associates to provide outstanding service.
Provide ongoing performance feedback and real-time coaching; prioritize team touch bases, development plans, and performance reviews.
Promote associate engagement by recognizing and celebrating strong performance.
Execute and improve daily operational procedures and support visual standards throughout store zones.
Keep Fitting Rooms guest-ready and aligned with AEO Brand Standards.
Maintain store safety standards, follow Asset Protection standards, and comply with AEO policies and procedures.
