The full-time Associate Selling Team Leader is the Store Team Leader’s go-to for developing and implementing business strategy and leading the store’s daily operations. The role focuses on training and coaching the team to become high-performing sellers who deliver an outstanding guest experience, meet sales goals, maintain merchandising standards, and achieve operational excellence. The Associate Selling Team Leader represents the company’s values and brings their REAL self to work every day.

Requirements

• Previous experience leading teams in a retail management role.
• Ability to multitask, attention to detail, and strong prioritization and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead and develop teams.
• General understanding of employment law.
• Business acumen.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key Leader on Duty, driving sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a high-quality guest experience.
• Analyze reports and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and contribute to the store’s financial success.
• Partner with the Store Team Leader to develop short- and long-term business plans that drive key KPIs.
• Motivate and inspire the team through AEO’s core values and hold team members accountable to customer service standards.
• Recruit and hire talent to ensure the store is staffed to meet business needs.
• Train and develop associates to provide outstanding service.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching, team touch bases, development plans, and performance reviews.
• Drive associate engagement by recognizing and celebrating team performance.
• Execute and improve daily operational procedures and support the team in maintaining visual standards throughout the store.
• Ensure Fitting Rooms are guest-ready and meet AEO Brand Standards.
• Maintain store safety standards, follow Asset Protection standards, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
