About the position
Axon is seeking an associate producer to join their team and contribute to their streaming platform, The First Responders Network. The role involves executing strategy, managing a programming slate, and delivering compelling content for the network. The associate producer will work closely with the Axon Studios production team and have opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of video production, the ability to work well within a creative team, and a positive attitude. They should also be capable of managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment and have a genuine interest in the first responder community.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the delivery of content for the First Responders Network (FRN)
- Select and prescreen subject matter and obtain appropriate rights and clearances
- Select compelling clips for the First On Scene franchise and develop them into segments, including interviewing first responders involved
- Provide support for important Axon initiatives, such as IACP Awards video
- Investigate and pitch new story concepts to the editorial board
- Deliver timely and constructive feedback within the context of maximizing quality within creative and budgetary constraints
- Work well within a creative team
- Have a strong understanding of the video production process
- Maintain a positive and solution-oriented attitude
- Produce video content at a high level
- Collaborate with team members across departments
- Manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Conduct interviews with first responders
