Your impact in this role will be to identify and qualify electronic components for Axon’s products, driving the component selection process and directly contributing to our mission to save lives. You will establish relationships with manufacturers, work with the sourcing team, and leverage your technical expertise to support product scalability. Responsibilities
- Proactively communicate with design engineering teams to understand current and future needs for new product components
- Establish strong relationships with manufacturers and their representatives in the electronics industry to understand product roadmaps and availability
- Work with Category Managers on sourcing decisions aligned with their strategies
- Work with sourcing team to develop and ramp component sources for new products and ensure timely purchase for engineering development builds
- Select key strategic components to support product scalability for 5+ year lifecycles
- Assist Category Managers and cross-functional category teams in developing and executing commodity strategies that support NPI work stream
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in component engineering or similar role
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence without authority and produce positive results

- Analytical, fact based with a keen attention to detail
