About The Position

The Associate Patient Care Coordinator welcomes patients and visitors, supports front-desk operations, and helps manage patient appointments and records. The role includes checking patients in and out, verifying demographic and insurance information, handling payments, responding to calls, and maintaining medical records. This is an onsite position at 8080 State Hwy 121 Ste 300, McKinney, TX 75070, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of experience with communication and providing customer service in person and by phone.
Beginner-level knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with EMR computer applications.

Responsibilities

Greet arriving patients and manage appropriate standard wait times.
Complete check-in and check-out tasks, including verifying patient demographics and insurance, completing procedure pre-authorizations or precertifications, and copying required documents.
Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issue receipts.
Manage the cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies.
Process walk-in patients and visitors.
Periodically disinfect and clean the lobby area.
Answer phones and schedule appointments.
Redirect calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed.
Maintain medical records, including filing or scanning them and preparing records for the schedule.
Scan and/or file correspondence, process medical-record release requests, and maintain appropriate logs.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
