Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Minimum 1-2 years of butcher or meat cutting experience in a retail or commercial setting required
Strong knowledge of meat cuts and safe handling practices
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic math and reading skills (weights, pricing, portioning)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
A passion for craftsmanship and serving people

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestions
Cut, bone, trim, and grind meats according to company standards and customer specifications
Prepare and package meats for both service counter and self-service displays
Weigh, wrap, label, and price products accurately
Maintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checks
Restock and rotate displays to ensure visual appeal and freshness
Take and fulfill special orders with accuracy and attention to detail
Store meats in refrigerators and freezers at required temperatures
Clean and maintain prep areas, cases, and equipment to uphold health and sanitation standards
Operate department equipment including knives, band saws, grinders, scales, and wrapping machines safely and efficiently
Assist with other tasks as assigned
