About The Position

DoorDash’s New Verticals team is expanding the company beyond restaurants into groceries, convenience items, alcohol, retail, and other essentials. The Consumer Growth team works across strategy, operations, product, and marketing to identify growth opportunities and bring them to life through customer-facing launches, campaigns, and product experiences. The Associate Manager will lead Consumer Growth go-to-market strategy for New Verticals. The role shapes how priority merchants, categories, and customer behaviors are brought to market, bringing structure to a high volume of opportunities and helping teams prioritize and execute efficiently. The position owns the business strategy behind major growth initiatives: defining customer opportunities, sizing potential, recommending investments, setting goals, and turning insights into clear GTM plans. The role partners with Marketing, Product, Analytics, Finance, Business Development, and other cross-functional teams to create strategies that are both sound and executable. It manages initiatives with varying complexity and makes recommendations about how to focus limited resources for the greatest customer and business impact. The successful candidate is comfortable analyzing data, developing a point of view, and aligning senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, growth, business operations, product strategy, investment banking, or a related analytical and cross-functional environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and program-management skills, including the ability to structure ambiguous requests and opportunities into actionable plans.
  • Experience building scalable frameworks, playbooks, and operating processes that improve cross-functional team effectiveness.
  • Strong judgment and prioritization skills, including distinguishing urgent work from impactful work and identifying work that need not be done.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust across teams, influence senior stakeholders, and navigate competing priorities.
  • Ability to drive alignment, push back when appropriate, and articulate a clear point of view while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to independently pull data in SQL and build models in Excel.
  • Ability to use data to develop recommendations, not just report findings.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution and measurement.
  • Operationally minded, low-ego approach; comfort with ambiguity and willingness to work through details.
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree.
