About The Position

This is a continuous recruitment posting for part-time Associate Lecturer, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer positions within the Department of History and International Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP). While there may not be an immediate need, applications are accepted to build a pool of candidates for future part-time opportunities. Successful applicants will be considered for courses on a per-semester basis, with no guarantee of future assignments. Teaching loads will vary between 1-12 credits per semester. While the position is listed as on-site, remote or partially remote opportunities may become available.

Requirements

• M.A. in History or related field
• Experience teaching history courses, especially introductory ones part of the general education program

Nice To Haves

• Ph.D. in History or related field

Responsibilities

• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
