About The Position
This is a continuous recruitment posting for Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions within the College of Letters and Science, School of Humanities and Global Studies, Department of World Languages and Literatures at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP). Applications are accepted to build a pool of candidates for future part-time opportunities. Successful applicants will be considered for future lecturer needs on a per-course basis each semester. Teaching one semester does not guarantee assignment in the following semester. The teaching load will range between 1-12 credits per semester. While the position is listed as on-site, partially remote and remote opportunities may be available.
Requirements
- M.A. in German, Spanish, or related field.
- Experience teaching language courses.
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D. in German, Spanish, or related field.
- Experience teaching culture courses either in the target language or in English.
Responsibilities
- Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
- Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
- Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
