About The Position

This is a continuous recruitment posting for Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions within the College of Letters and Science, School of Humanities and Global Studies, Department of History and International Studies at UW-Stevens Point. While there may not be an immediate need, applications are accepted to build a pool of candidates for future part-time opportunities. Successful applicants will be considered for roles on a per-course basis each semester, with teaching loads ranging from 1-12 credits. Teaching one semester does not guarantee assignment in the following semester. Although listed as on-site, partially remote and remote opportunities may be available.

Requirements

  • M.A. in History or related field
  • Experience teaching history courses, especially introductory ones part of the general education program

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in History or related field

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
