About The Position

The Associate I, Textiles Production works primarily in a production environment processing donated clothing for sale. The role sorts, inspects, hangs, sizes, prices, tags, and prepares textiles for the sales floor, following company quality standards and guidelines. Associates are expected to meet daily production quotas and may occasionally interact with customers, answer product questions, and provide customer service. The position may also involve cross-training in other departments and additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Attention to detail and the ability to make decisions.
• Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.
• Ability to assess textile quality and value, use good judgment in pricing, and research value as needed.
• Ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
• Ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of retail experience.
• Knowledge of clothing brands and quality.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated textiles by season, color, and product quality.
• Inspect textiles to confirm they are in saleable condition, including checking buttons and zippers.
• Hang, size, price, and tag textile items, and prepare them for sale by loading them onto Z-racks.
• Price items according to Goodwill standards, researching product value online or using company tools and standards as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff and customers, and answer product questions as needed.
• Follow retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
• Cross-train in other departments and areas as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Meet daily production quotas.
