About The Position

The Associate I, Retail Sales Floor brings processed clothing and other products to the sales floor and keeps the area well stocked, clean, organized, and presentable. The associate interacts with customers, answers product questions, and is expected to provide excellent customer service. The role also includes maintaining restroom cleanliness, merchandising products to company standards, and identifying and pulling products for E-Commerce.

• Ability to use judgment to assess product quality and value, determine pricing, and research value as necessary.
• Ability to see color.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• One year of retail experience is preferred.
• Prior visual merchandising experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed productivity standards and key performance indicators for assigned duties.
• Price products according to Goodwill standards for quality and value, including researching item values using the internet or company tools when needed.
• Keep the sales floor clean and organized by cleaning shelves and racks, picking up items, putting away products from racks, carts, or baskets, and returning unwanted items to their proper locations.
• Merchandise sales floor areas according to standards, including categorizing, colorizing, and sizing products, and make decisions about product placement to improve the shopping experience and increase sales.
• Communicate targeted floor needs to the manager on duty to assist production.
• Provide excellent service to staff and customers, follow the 10-foot rule, and answer product questions.
• Rotate or remove old or unsold products from the sales floor in a timely manner to refresh selection.
• Identify and pull E-Commerce products from the sales floor.
• Follow retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
• Cross-train in other departments or areas and provide backup as required.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
